MAKE RANDOM DRUG TESTING MANDATORY FOR ALL PEOPLE CLAIMING WELFARE BENEFIT.
Mandatory testing should apply to all people using the welfare system to provide their income. It should apply to all backgrounds of society, and is not a breach of human rights as some would say; it is a control system to ensure that regulations in law are not broken.
In todays society many employers require their employees to provide random urine samples for drug testing as part of their code of conduct and to promote a safe working environment. Most government agencies including the MOD and public services, to state a few, mandate that samples must be provided on request, with severe consequences for any refusal to provide a sample or for providing a positive specimen.
A Zero tolerance policy should apply to both employed and non-employed people.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
It is clear that you think that people who claim benefits should have to be tested for drugs, but we are not sure what action you believe should follow if someone tests positive for drug use.
