Enforce absent parents to financially provide for their children.
DWP are failing to collect money from absent parents.
Many lone parents rely on the DWP.
The DWP is failing to collect money from absent parents.
If Council Tax, rent or morgages or higher purchases are not paid there are efficient procedures in place to collect outstanding money.
DWP need to become efficient and enforce absent parents to pay for their children.
Unfortunately the system is failing, It needs to become legally binding, mandatory that absent parents are given no more than 3 months to financially support their children and continue to do so. Failure to financially support their child/children should result in punishments.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There are already legal sanctions for people who don't pay the child support they owe. It's therefore not clear what you would like to change.
