I request that the e-petition service is reformed to ensure that they are given a fair chance of being seen by members of the public visiting the site.

I suggest that all new e-petitions should be lodged in a 'New Petitions' area on the site for (say) a minimum of 1-2 weeks. After this period the creator could be approached to see if they wish it to continue with the petition.

It is clear to me that most of the petitions created are so far down the page lists that few people will ever see them.
