Petition Action

All parents of stillborn babies to receive a birth certificate.

Petition Details

I gave birth to my sleeping son Noah Eric on 18th October 2014 at 12:18pm, as he was a few days off being 24 weeks we could not register his birth and so did not receive a birth certificate, I have no proof he was born, yet were given a funeral with no place of rest (grave). This has to change.

Additional Information

A baby born before 24 weeks are classed as a late miscarriage, it's only those born at 24 weeks or later that are classed as a stillborn child and so are allowed to have their birth registered and therefore there parents get a birth certificate.
