Stop aid going abroad and focus on helping Britain get back on its feet

Petition Details

There is a current crisis in Britain and everyone must have heard how much the NHS is being affected... so why is the government repeatedly sending foreign aid, especially to countries who are thriving and have a better economy than us.

Additional Information

Local councils are having budget cuts - education and social care is being hugely affected because of this. The increase pressure on the NHS is putting many lives at risk.
The patients having to wait in hospital corridors to be seen by doctors. Patients health being compromised because of the pressures on the hospital staff.
Focus on the 250,000 people currently homeless in the country.
Why give £12.2 billion abroad when the country is in such a dire state itself!!!

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly how you would like the money currently spent on overseas aid to be spent instead.

If you would like money spent on overseas aid to be given to the NHS, you could sign this petition instead:
