Grant Residence status to EU Citizens in event of UK leaving EU
Many EU nationals living in the UK are deeply worried by the Governments refusal to guarantee them the right of abode once the UK leaves the EU. This Petition requests the Government cease using them as pawns and unilaterally confirm that resident non-UK citizens will have this right of abode
Newspaper articles and personal encounters all reveal a shocking level of anxiety amongst many non-British EU citizens concerning their right of abode. As a Christian and a priest I am appalled that British-values clearly allow for this political use of people as bargaining chips in Brexit negotiations. I notice from letters in the papers I am jot alone in this concern.
