Make it law to stop for a cat you have hit in a road traffic accident
It is currently not required by law to stop if you hit a cat in a road traffic accident. I think this should change, any cat owners deserve the right to know if something has happened to their cat rather then leaving them on the side of the road.
If dog owners get the decency of knowing if something has happened to their pet, then why aren't cat owners? They are both beloved pets and owners can be left for years worrying what happened to their missing pet when they may have been killed on the side of the road.
Many cats may also have injuries that could be fixed however they often die needlessly as they do not get the medical attention required quick enough.
