42% of assistance dog owners were turned away by a taxi or in the last year
“At 5am, after visiting the hospital, I called for a taxi and the driver turned up and refused to take me. This experience isn’t only confidence shattering but can also be really really tough. I’d just come out of the hospital, not slept and the driver decided to turn me away.”

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. It's clear that you are concerned about how assistance dogs are treated by taxi drivers, but we're not sure what action you would like the Government or Parliament to take. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
