Mandatory requirement; Speak fluent english when working medical environments.
Requirement for any medical persons across the NHS to be able to communicate both in writing and verbally in fluent english. Should foreign workers apply for customer facing positions, proof is required. Frequent occurrences with miscommunication in emergency situations and dispensing of drugs.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. As part of the Immigration Act 2016, public sector staff working in customer-facing roles, including those in the NHS, are already required to speak English to an appropriate standard.
