Withdraw the invitation of a state visit to President Trump
In November 2016, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "State visits and other meetings with overseas heads of state are organised on the advice of the Government."
This petition calls on the Government to use its powers to withdraw the invitation of a state visit to President Trump.
The United Kingdom holds the principles of civil liberty, the rule of law and human rights in high regard. An invitation to President Trump undermines these principles and undermines its role in the world as a shaper and enforcer of those principles.
