Petition Action

We call for the UK PM Theresa May to resign and a general election to be held.

Petition Details

We believe Theresa May is not a legitimate Prime Minister because she was not directly elected; her position of power is undemocratic, due only to an EU referendum campaign that was based on lies. She is also not standing up for UK citizens rights regards to the actions of the current US president.

Additional Information

Theresa May must condemn the unconstitutional and illegal actions of US president Donald Trump openly and in public. She must call for a second EU referendum based on facts. Then she must stand down as PM and a general election held.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The resignation of an individual Minister is not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or Parliament, you could start a petition about that.
