Chemists should provide receipts of prices for all items prescribed by doctors.

and also give information on whether the items can be purchased over the counter. this could save both the customer and the NHS a significant amount of money and would also show how fortunate we are to have our NHS and only be paying £8.40 per item for such high priced medication.

Additional Information

I believe if people knew how much they cost the NHS each month with un needed repeat prescriptions and half finished courses of medicines, as well as knowing if the drugs available to buy cheaper over the counter it would greatly change the attitude a lot of people have with regards to our NHS and how they can make a great financial difference to it, freeing up money to hire more staff, pay the staff they have a decent wage and fund further research efforts.
