Vote against Article 50 based on the misinformation used to fuel the leave vote.

Petition Details

The outcome of the 2016 referendum on UK membership in the EU was gained through misinformation aimed at the most vulnerable citizens who EU membership benefits the most. The arousal of fear led people to vote for something permanent and drastic, but armed with information that was simply false.

Additional Information

Membership in the EU allows the UK free trade with some of the world's top economies, as well as the free movement of people, something that will severely hinder the UK economically to lose. The EU also provides countless development programs, including education grants and research funding, and environmental protection laws. Finally, the UK is not guaranteed to save money by no longer paying EU membership. In fact, it is likely to pay more under new trade and diplomatic deals.
