Petition Action

Stop exploitation of Leaseholders .

Petition Details

Landlords including local authorities are exploiting leaseholders by coming up with unnecessary service and capital work charges. It leaves the leaseholder with no choices but to borrow money or to sell their homes. Leaseholders should become freeholders to choose what work needs to be done.

Additional Information

Annual Service and capital work charges asked by Camden Council to their leaseholders are forcing leaseholders to sell their home.
A leaseholder is asked to pay at least £15.000 to upgrade heating in a tiny single bedroom flat . Camden demands £10.000's for unjustified , poor quality and unnecessary work every couple of years . Leaseholders are priced out of their homes . You pay or else!
