Ruislip, Northwood & Pinner ask the Government to grant a free vote on A50 Bill
We the People of Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner petition the Government to allow a free vote in the House of Commons on the A50 Bill. An estimated 70% of us voted to remain in the EU and we believe our MP should be given the opportunity to show his support for his constituents.
Under the MPs code of conduct III. 5, 6 and 7 he is obliged to put the best interests of the UK and his constituents first. Unless a free vote is granted he will be required to break the Whip to support us. A free vote would allow him to demonstrate to us that he is deserving of our future vote in any subsequent election.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is the responsibility of political parties, not the Government or Parliament.
