Petition Action

STOP the resale of tickets making profit on the secondary ticket market.

Petition Details

There are ticket touts that use "bots" and buy multiple tickets at once. These tickets are then sold straight away on the secondary market for a lot more money. For example.. a £40 ticket will be sold for £250, on average.

Additional Information

Something needs to be done because the honest customer is being robbed and the government, promoters and especially StubHub are doing nothing to prevent this from happening. The laws surrounding this need to change. Secondary tickets should NOT be able to be sold at a profit. If a person buys a ticket but then cannot go the event then the secondary ticket market has its honest use and the ticket should be sold for face value plus the providers admin cost.
