Alpha 1 Antritrypsin Deficiency heel prick test for new born babies.

Additional Information

Given that A1AD is the most common genetic deficiency we propose that all new born babies who are heel pricked and blood taken for some genetic conditions, we ask the Dept. of Health to do screening for A1AD with the same blood sample, giving people the right to know if they have a severe deficiency and can be given advice on how to take extra care of themselves throught life saving thousands of lives.
