Enable UK citizens to apply for individual EU citizenship as part of Brexit.
Many people who voted to remain in the EU wish to retain a European identity after Brexit and certain associated benefits related to this. The principle is endorsed by Guy Verhofstadt, a lead negotiator for the EU who points out that thousands of UK citizens have already contacted his office.
