2nd referendum on staying in single market or having total immigration controls
48% of the electorate voted to explicitly stay in the single market by voting remain while 52% voted to activate Article 50 with no clear plan for leaving. The economic importance of single market participation means such a referendum would allow the people to decide the direction of Brexit
