Data Protection reform
The Data Protection Act was designed to safeguard information relating to an individual, from others with no right to it. Instead it has become an excuse for organisations to deny assistance to relatives and other legitimate enquirers whose relatives or close friends are disabled or very elderly and cannot act for themselves. This petition seeks an overhaul of the Act to allow the helpers to help.
