Donald Trump to visit Carlisle on state visit to the UK
As Carlisle would benefit economically and financially if the President of the US visited Carlisle

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The UK Government isn’t responsible for making the final decision about the programme for a state visit. The Government does discuss the options for the programme with the visiting government. However, the final decision on whether they take up the Government’s suggestions would be for the visiting government to make. The UK Government can’t force a visiting government to include a particular visit in the programme.
You could start a new petition urging the UK Government to encourage President Trump to visit Carlisle.
