Introduce law to force a general election if the current prime minister resigns

Petition Details

When (like David Cameron) a prime minister steps down the government should not be able to choose who becomes prime minister. This should be down to the voters. Introduce a new law forcing the government to trigger a general election within 6 months of the current prime minister stepping down
