Subsidising the motorway services so they are all one price for the English truckers.

Additional Information

I am HGV driver delivering to the main retailers of the country. As we the drivers are working long hours making sure the outlets are full when we need a break it varries on how much it is to stay in the service areas around the county. Some are exspensive I want the government to subsidise these service ares make them all one charge.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not responsible for.

This is the responsibility of retailers at service stations, not the Government or Parliament.

You could start a new petition asking Parliament to change the law, to require employers of HGV drivers to pay allowances for food and drink consumed during legally-required rest stops.
