article 50 ~ Economy ~ HS2 ~ UK
Delay the decision to build HS2 until Post Brexit
The UKs future spending needs to ensure that any government spending supports the UK post Brexit economy.HS2 doesn't benefit the whole of the U.K. The decision to build a second rail system providing marginally faster journey times in to London needs to be delayed.
Post Brexit future offers both potential problems & benefits to the Uk and the government need to delay any decision regarding HS2 until post Brexit and the spending priorities are clearer.A commitment to billions of pounds of spending months before Article 50 is issued on a project criticised by professionals and public alike .The decision needs to be delayed .HS2 project even If completed within budget will leave little budget for post Brexit investment in UK business & UK communities.
