Debate funding for social care and the inequalities it poses to the NHS budget
Iris Sibley is not alone. Yes this is an extreme case and is not the norm, but the notion of being stuck in a hospital bed (at a cost of £90,000-the equivalent to 90 weeks in a home) because social care cannot respond is not excuse for failing our older generation. We need a national discussion.
