State funded apprentiship scheme
Anyone between the age of 15-20 who is looking for work should be able to seek employment as an apprentice, funded by the state, providing they and the employer full fill certain criteria.
1. Employee the apprentice for the duration of the apprentiship scheme, i.e. to full qualification.
2. No funding commitment required by the employer, assuming (1) fulfilled.
3 Apprentice will not claim any other state benefits, other than minimum wage or comparable table for that trade in that area.
Sure more conditions could be added.
Benefits:
Youth in employment.
Focus on those who do not wish to go to uni
Target those who fall out of the education system.
