Give Self Employed Trainers rights & access to industrial tribunal services

Petition Details

Pass a bill to regulate awarding bodies of security level 2 qualifications disciplinary procedures when dealing with trainers. Stipulate Awarding bodies provide clear guidelines such as a documented strike 1,2,3 warnings, provide hearings & provide trainers/teachers an industrial tribunal service.

Additional Information

As a trainer of a security qualification an individual has to be approved by a pick of 5 awarding bodies. Training is mandatory to work in the industry hence awarding bodies can pick and choose trainers. Awarding bodies can place maladministration labels on an individuals resulting in a life time ban without hearing. Most trainers earn the same as employed and can not afford the risk to go to an industrial tribunal leaving them exposed to anti-competitive practices, discrimination etc.
