Supermarket Waste to Food Banks
Food Banks are on the rise with more and more families (even those in work) relying on food donations to get them through the week (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13914188). Steps should be taken to legislate against wastage and encourage supermarkets to donate their edible waste to local food banks. This will not effect supermarket sales because the food will be going to people who can't afford to buy it.
