Amend the bill to protect EU citizens & give permanent residency to EU citizens
The bill would have ensured that all EU citizens legally living in the UK on June 23 - the date of the EU referendum - would have their right to stay protected.
‘Bill’ is an Act of Parliament that is under consideration and has not yet been approved. The government published its ‘Brexit Bill’ this yesterday, prompting a wave of proposed amendments.
