Referendum to decide whether to raise tax specifically for health & social care
Health and social care is in crisis. The UK spends significantly less as a proportion of its economy compared to other developed countries. However political parties are unwilling to propose raising taxes lest they risk unpopularity. A referendum would provide government with a mandate to act.
