Recover the cost of treating overseas visitors in the NHS from international aid
Funding of the NHS is a hot political issue. It is clear some overseas visitors come to the UK to get treatment to which they are not entitled. A substantial amount of the total cost of £1.8 billion is unrecoverable from either the individual or the national government of the country of origin.
