Rise the minimum wage for 18 year olds that own a home to at least £7 an hour
A young adult earning £5.55 an hour is not going to be able to run a house on such a small wage. the rent alone will wipe out a whole months wage for a 18 year old
In my area the current smallest monthly payment for rent is £370. Then there are other costs such as car insurance, home insurance and utilities to pay. This is just the basics to any normal lifestyle. So if i was working a job that was 40 hours a week i would earn about 890 a month. What qualiy of life is that for a young adult. Trying to be mature.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
It's not clear whether you're concerned about the minimum wage for people who own their own home, for people who are renting, or both. We're not sure what action you'd like the Government or Parliament to take. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
