CARAVANS TO PAY ROAD TAX

Caravans make use of the country's road system and should pay a road tax on a sliding scale , depending on their size for the privilege of doing so.

The road system of the country is greatly affected by caravans and their owners should pay for their use on our road system. I am aware that hauliers are charged extra for trailers on their lorries and so I feel the precedent exist.

Foreign caravans could pay a set charge upon entry at a port.
