Want government to freeze or cut this year's council tax rise
Theresa May recently gave the go ahead for council tax rises to be higher upto 4.99% to pay for social care I think it's totally unfair as people are not getting rises that much most people's benefits have been frozen which is actually a cut in reality and they should be frozen upto 2020 election
4.99% rise is too high and too harsh specially for people on benefits who don't get that much rise specially with other things going up including energy, fuel and food the fairest way would be to cut council tax by 10% to help people out or to freeze it for the rest of this parliament

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not responsible for.
Local councils, not the UK Government or Parliament, set the rates of council tax in their local area.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
