Fund a working replica of Captain James Cook's Endeavour and a Botanical Centre
Middlesbrough born Capt. James Cook discovered Botany Bay. 200yrs later the town produced the steel for the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
In 2032 Australia will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the bridge. It will and has generated an enormous revenue into the country's economy. Middlesbrough should also be recognised. It will help the local economy if it becomes a place of interest. This investment should form part of the Government's action plan published on 26th August 2016 to invest £40 million into tourism: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-invests-40-million-and-cuts-red-tape-to-boost-tourism-across-england
