Stop closing down/downgrading so many A&E departments in the U.K.
Recently, the Government introduced a list of 24 A&Es that could be closed/downgraded.
In this list are A&Es that are essential and desperately needed. If some of these were to close or be downgraded, it would create an even bigger strain on the NHS.
Is the NHS not struggling enough already?
Closing down A&Es could cause already long enough waiting times to become longer, treatments to become insufficient in order to deal with the larger influx of patients, and will cause the NHS to decline even further.
How is this fair?
The NHS is already struggling, we cannot exacerbate this problem by closing down A&Es. We must stand for what's right. We must fight against this.
