Make lie detection admissible to be considered alongside eyewitness accounts
Polygraphs and other methods of lie detection (such as analysing body language and facial expressions) should be considered when reviewing eyewitness accounts in court.
Polygraphs are 80-90% accurate whereas eyewitness accounts are only 65-70% accurate.
By considering lie detection results alongside eyewitness accounts, we can increase the reliability of evidence. Crimes may be resolved sooner and with more accuracy.
