Require autonomous vehicles to display a visible warning beacon when in motion.
As a software engineer with many years' experience, I think that mixing AVs with conventional traffic on public roads is highly risky, with potentially serious/fatal consequences for road users. It will require many years of development to perfect the tech in all weathers/conditions.
There have already been several incidents reported in the USA.
