Petition Action

Make absent fathers accountable and responsible for their children.

Petition Details

I am sick of trying to get my children's father to step up and be a responsible accountable parent. Their lucky to see him twice a year! Let's create a fair system and realise this issue deserves to be addressed as does mums not allowing fathers access, both are neglect!

Additional Information

In the media am constantly seeing women coming up against it for not allowing their children's fathers in their life. Although I agree with this I also feel what about the mothers whom constantly try to get their children's fathers to step up and they don't. I read an article today in the Daily Mail suggesting mothers will be jailed whom withhold their children. How about we suggest fathers who don't do their fair share of responsible parenting also have some kind of legal scrutiny.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about parents who don't see their children, but we're not sure what action you'd like the Government or Parliament to take to address this. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
