REDUCE UNEMPLOYMENT
Increase the minimum state pension to £300 per week per person at 60 for women and 65 for men. This would free up many jobs, create a living wage for people of pensionable age, and put many people back to work.
The cost would be covered by not paying unemployment benefit and all the other benefits that unemployment attracts, like housing benefit, coucil tax benefits plus others.
In fact those who enter the emplyment market would contribute to society, by paying taxes and national insurance and would give people one of the basic human rights that they should be entitled to: employment.
