calling for a law to place a cap on rent increases on Public Houses and Venues
Companies that lease out or rent Public Houses and venues keep raising the rent to extortionate levels to push out publicans who pour Their life, blood and sweat into keeping these places open but the rent keeps increasing. and this needs to stop.
I have seen so may Pubs close due to huge rent increases that cripple publicans and force them to close the doors after years sometimes even Decades of trading all because a company decides that the rent should increased in some cases doubled to levels that are un-achievable in the current economic climate. I ask that a cap be put on these rent increases to enable publicans to keep the doors open.
