Abolish this petitions site and divert the funds used for its administration
The Government clearly considers this petitions site an irrelevance. Its response to the 2 most-signed petitions (4.2m & 1.9m signatures respectively) were entirely dismissive. A later petition's question was evaded. Rather than maintain this charade, this site's funds should be used elsewhere.

The above reference to a "later petition" concerns the following petition - https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/164999 - which asked whether the lack of a supermajority in June's referendum was due to an oversight or due to the fact the referendum was advisory. The Government did not address this question directly in its obfuscatory response.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
