Petition Details

Adjust the ministerial code to include private healthcare as a conflict of interest for MPs. Any person feeling strongly that the NHS is inadequate and requiring private healthcare may do so outside of the body which controls the NHS

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Not all MPs are Ministers, so not all of them are bound by the Ministerial Code.

All MPs have to follow the House of Commons Code of Conduct. You could start a new petition asking for the Code of Conduct to be changed, to introduce a new rule that MPs should not use private health services.
