Longer prison sentences for rape, murder and serious crimes.
A 23-year-old man was lured to a park and beaten for several hours and later died,The murderers were given 20 & 21 yrs. A man has been jailed for 12 years after he attacked a woman so badly that her face became completely detached from her skull. Given 12 yrs. NOT LONG ENOUGH!
We keep getting told that our prisons are over crowded! they may well be, but how many of those offer no threat to the general public? let them out and get them doing work for the community and free the beds for the rapist, murders and child sex offenders that we want off our streets so it can be a safer place to bring a family up in. And then give longer sentences to these offenders and that might deter others, and they will think twice before reoffending. Then our prisons will have vacancies.
