Repeal The Social Security (PIP)(Amendment) Regulations 2017
The Government has subverted the Judicial process. Although technically it can do this, we feel that the resultant legislation unfairly discriminates against persons with mental health problems who find it difficult to "plan and follow journeys" as a result of their disabilities.
We feel that this legislation may not meet the standards set out in the UN convention on the rights of disabled persons and the UK Equality Act 2010. It also goes against the stated aims of the government for "parity of esteem for mental health and physical health".
