Make teaching a nuanced account of the British Empire statutory in KS3 History
In their next revision of the national curriculum, the UK government should update Key Stage 3 history so that teaching about the British Empire is statutory. A nuanced account about the oppressive nature of the empire is needed to education those who are unaware of Britain's problematic empire
