The alternative to a Free Trade Agreement with Europe should be reverting to WTO
The House of Lords has now voted for an amendment to allow Parliament to have a meaningful vote on the final Brexit deal. Should Parliament reject the final deal with the EU, the alternative should be leaving the EU reverting to WTO trade rules. The will of the people cannot be subverted.
The unelected House of Lords, filled with Remain voters, should not be allowed to subvert the democratic will of the British people by using its powers to force amendments on the Government that could foreseeably be utilised to reverse the decision expressed in the Brexit referendum. The alternative to the deal must be leaving the EU on WTO rules and Brexit must be delivered for democracy to be upheld.
