Make websites like 192.com and others with our personal details illegal.
Search Google and type in 192.com followed by your full name and your town/city. Shocked? You should be. It is an absolute outrage that these websites can publish our information without seeking our permission in the first place. It puts us in danger of becoming victims of stalkers and fraud.
Yes, these websites might claim that this information is in the public domain anyway, but in the past to obtain this information you had to go through official channels which left a paper trail of who was seeking what. Now, anybody can just type your name and address into Google from the comfort of their sofa and steal your identity. A chilling prospect for those who have been the victim of stalking or fraud and a warning for those of us who haven't (yet).
Let's get this signed and sorted out!
