Abandon plans to increase National Insurance rates for self employed workers.
Freelancers, small companies and other self employed workers enjoy none of the benefits taken for granted by employed workers such as paid holiday time, payed sick leave and pension contributions. What little tax advantage we currently benefit from falls a long way short of making up for this
We work hard without a "safety net" and are far more exposed to the risks of the current financial environment than employed workers. Yet again we are under attack - The grossly unfair IR35 proposals, limits on dividend payments and the reckless, ideologically-driven descent into "Hard Brexit" are undermining the security of self-employed workers. Give us a break - we are already walking a tightrope and the government should not underestimate the impact of these proposals.
