HS2 should be scrapped and funds diverted to improving the UK Road Network
HS2 has a limited impact on the UK population vs the benefits of improving both the quality of road surfaces in the UK and the Road Network infrastructure.
The state of local authority controlled roads and the national road network have been side lined for too long. Any national infrastructure transportation funding should be directed at the road network before any investment in the HS2 rail project.
